Relieve App offers sign-in options for account creation and authentication, such as Google Sign-In or direct email registration.
When you create or log in to a Relieve account, we may collect and securely handle:

- Email address
This information is used only for authentication, personalization, and account security. Relieve App does not share, sell, or use this information for advertising or marketing.
User Entries and Reflections
Relieve App allows you to create personal content for emotional reflection, including written entries, voice recordings, images, photos taken with your camera, and text scanned from images (OCR – text recognition).
Access to the camera, photo library, microphone, and text scanning features is requested only when you choose to use these features.
- Written reflections may be securely linked to your account for use across devices
- Voice recordings, images, and scanned text are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded or shared
Relieve App does not collect medical or clinical data. All content is considered personal self-expression.
2. Data Security and Handling
How We Protect Your Data
We use industry-standard practices to help protect your information, including:
- Secure access controls and authentication safeguards
- Regular security monitoring and updates
- Protections against unauthorized modification or disclosure
Data Transmission and Storage
Relieve App uses Firebase services provided by Google for reliable account authentication and system operation.
Data related to authentication or account association may be processed on Google’s secure servers in different countries.
While we maintain reasonable security measures, no online system is entirely risk-free.
Your Responsibility
Please avoid including highly sensitive or medical information in your reflections. All entries are created voluntarily and at your own discretion.
3. User Rights and Data Retention
As a Relieve App user, you have the right to:
- Access: View and manage your stored journaling data within the app.
- Correction: Update incorrect or outdated personal information.
- Deletion: Delete your account and journaling entries directly in the app. Once deleted, data will no longer be accessible.
Some minimal data may be temporarily retained only for:
- Legal compliance
- Security auditing
- System integrity
Data that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymized.
Data Continuity
If you use Relieve without creating an account—or if you delete or reinstall the app—your previous entries may no longer be available on your device.
Voice recordings and images are stored locally and cannot be recovered if the app is deleted, reinstalled, or if the device is lost.
4. Third-Party Services
Relieve App does not currently integrate with external analytics or advertising services. If new features requiring third-party data handling are added, this policy will be updated and your explicit consent requested.
5. Children’s Privacy
Relieve App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store data from users under 13. If such data is discovered, we will delete it immediately.
6. International Data Compliance
Relieve App may process and store data on servers operated by our service providers, such as Google Firebase, which may be located in different countries.
We comply with applicable international data protection laws, including:
- GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation – EU)
- CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act – USA)
